Not everybody knows about Edelbrock's lack of quality controle. So I point it out. I know I'd like someone to let me know befor I spend my money !!!

Look, I'm not trying to get into a pissing match with you but it seems obvious to me that your expectations are a little higher if you are taking emery cloth to the port runners of customer's intakes. Outside of the high end CNC machined intakes, nothing that is delivered in an "AS CAST" state like the Edlebrocks, Holley and Wieand Manifolds will have the rougher texture to the finish.
Your expectations are higher and thats fine, but thats not to say that Edlebrocks Quality control is in the crapper.
Granted I would not have a Edlebrock carb, but thats not because the quality is low, I just don't like that type of Carter AFB clone. I like my Q-jet and Holley carbs that I run, but I don't go bashing on E-brock.
It's painfully obvious that you could give a rat's ass so you can continue your crusade to gripe about them.
By the way, if your customer's are having you install edelbrock intakes, why haven't you convinced them to use something better? Seems kinda hypocritical if you are selling them Edlebrocks and yet still griping about them. I sure as hell would not sell something that I did not like as a product. But hey, you seem to know more than me. What do I know anyway..... /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
[/ QUOTE ] First of all, I don't sell parts, I install. I recomend products I think are good, but in the end, it's the customers choice. I tell them the same things I post. Occationally I've had to use emory cloth on Wieand and Holley intakes, but no where as often as with Edelbrocks. Personaly, I really like intakes from Dart Machinery, and World Products. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
