if i bought a edelbrock 1406 carb with a electric choke...could i just run a toggle switch to it???im puting a edelbrock on because i dont wana deal with trying to tune a q-jet for the cam and heads combo i have...ill just put some off road spring needles and seats in it... ive seen them in action b4 they dont do too bad

Yes you could run a toggle to it, but why do that? It'd be easier to wire the choke to a keyed source. That way you don't need to think about it.

Wiring it to a manual switch won't really do anything special for you. Once it has pulled off, flipping the switch off/on won't close it again. You'll need to wait for it to cool down some.

yep....talked to a carb guy today...all it needs is a constant 12volt source switchd on by the ignition...ez money..
