Edited: Help me make a gauge panel parts list

Yeah that's a nice unit, I like it better than the autometer one. The only downfall is if you have a cable driven cruise control module it won't work with that (the autometer one will). If you buy an electric speedometer that will work great together (assuming the speedo is programmable).

Yeah that's a nice unit,

Thanks. I hear that a lot.

Looking at my spare 72 gauge cluster and I don't see any reason for LED's. The new gauges have their own perimeter lights. Only thing I really need to illuminate is the blinkers. So, should be a matter of finding 2 small bulb/sockets to fit those and wire accordingly. Then, figure out how to run the gauge lights off the headlight dimmer switch. Won't have a brake light, but no big deal.

Should be a piece of cake for the old man.

If you are looking for a cheap and easy way to wire, use trailer plugs. When I did chefbears Jimmy-(mine now) I used 2 flat wire trailer plug pairs- male and female. That way it is easy to pull the gauges out.

it's always good to have the whole harness have a disconnect, with a bit of folded extra wire for removing the whole assembly... I've done it quite a few ways.. weatherpacks are very nice, that and metripack are what I'm using on the current rig.....

but in the past I've just simply used wire ties to secure the 2 bundle ends and ran bullet connectors..

they're nice cuz you can maintain any wire color you want.. we do it in the boats all the time... not as nice as a multi-pin unit, but works fine.... and they are a much more service friendly connection than a spade, etc...
