EDP Coating.... Remove or Epoxy over it

As I make preparations to replace the body panels on my blazer I have concerns whether I should primer and paint over the EDP coating or if I should remove it and start over with epoxy primer. What experience have you guys had with keeping the EDP coating?

while we did just scuff and overprime it back in the collision days for production purposes, I always strip it to raw personally.... you can never guarantee that it was done properly from factory to factory, and will not peel.. cheap insurance..,.

Yea, good advice....just adds a step but may prevent steps in the future.
