EEEEK....a Jeepster

Look for a 4 speed T18 out of a '72-'79 CJ it has a granny low and came with the D20 behind it. I have a '79 CJ5 that currently has a 350/465/D20 I picked up a T18 Jeep and a Scout D300 with 4:1 and twin sticks to go in it. The scout cases have the same bolt pattern as the Jeep D20's. Thats a nice ride you have there,

I'll have to keep that in mind...do they bolt up to a Buick?

I decided to expand the cage to put a back seat in for running the dunes next week.

Also going to take off the Swampers/16" wheels, and run these M/T's on some repainted 15" wheels. Both are about the same size but these M/T's are lighter in weight, and don't dig as much as the swampers. Pop had these tires, and wheels in his Jeep stuff...FREEBIE!

The hardtop...I'll be putting this back on without the windows or rear hatch on it....keep it cooler that way...and the glass is broke from a flop I took a few years ago with it.

The 15" wheels. These were rusty and faded white.
Hit em with a sand blaster and some Zinc primer, then a couple coats of Satin Black.

Finished the family cage yesterday, and installed it today along with the rear jump seat and belts. Pop is flat towing it up to Silver Lake dunes with his S15 Jimmy. I'll be towing up the camper with my truck. Looks like a decent week coming up weather wise. Should be a good weeks vacation.

I'll ask my buddies when they are going up. I know it's soon. Look for a lifted orange TJ following around a trick white and orange '69 Scout 800A on 35's. That'd be them.
 
I'll look for them AJ...we'll be on the dunes most everyday at some point, all week long.
My daughter wants to maybe stay on the beach of Lake MI. on a decent afternoonat least once while we're there.

If you run into a guy with a crazy turbo charged rail by the name of Mike Cook (goes by Cookie) tell him I said hey. I worked with him at Rapid Air at the airport in GR in 02-03.
 
does he run out on the dunes with it, or at the dragstrip?
 
A bit of both last I knew.

Older guy, gotta be in his 60's or around 70 now. Glasses, beard/goatee thingy. Bald, always with a hat on.
I know, I just described half the folks there with rails.
 
Forgot about the buick motor, pretty positive it will not work without an adv. adapters bellhousing. Sorry about that.

Yeah, unfortunately there was a lot of wind noise.
 
not at this time, my grandaughter (8) has taken ownership of it by her own admission. I tried to tell her we should sell it now that we have the Maiden to play with, and she started crying...Papa you can't sell my Jeep...made me feel real bad for even suggesting it.
