So I diagnostic test on our '90 6.2L Burb. I got a code 32 which is "ERG circut fault"

O.k. what the hell is that?!?! And how the hell do I fix it?!?!

Thanks!!

Don't worry about that right now. I plan on getting a different intake later that doesn't have an EGR. It will completely eliminate the EGR system.

Here are the two types of manifolds. The one on the left is a J code, without the EGR, while the one on the right, a C code, has an EGR(the round thing). Jcode was used on military trucks and HD civilian trucks andsuppposedly flows better allowing more power to be produced.

Damn...glad mine is missing that particular thingy.

Just noticed this man...was looking for my books to help the Mrs.

Lemme know when you want to find a J-code intake. Several folks on SS are always selling parts of theirs.

in 89 or 90 they got one. OBDI crap i believe. This is also when the mech IP got some electronic crap on it, too, just to make life hard on me.

I must be a bit confused. 6.2's never had an ECM, so how are you getting a trouble code

As already mentioned, the last years had ECM's (such as my '90). They really don't do much however, at least complared to the gassers. It's been a couple of years since I looked but I seem to remember them only having maybe 4-5 possible codes (vesus who knows how many on the gassers). I also have the EGR code on mine because it sticks, but I haven't done anything with it because I also have a non-EGR intake sitting on the shelf.
