New to this forum and a first time Blazer owner. Picked up my 89 Blazer last week and over this past weekend the check engine light went on. Code read 32 which is either barometric pressure sensor circuit or EGR valve diagnostic switch- closed during engine start up or open when EGR flow requested by ECM.

Anyone have experience with this? Easy fix or bigger problem?
Thanks!

Might wait for some other opinions, but based on problems I've seen others have, I'd probably pull the EGR and make sure the intake passage is clear.

As I recall the test for EGR is that the ECM commands it to open, and since EGR is a vacuum leak, MAP should change. If MAP doesn't change, it sets a code.

Depending on type of EGR, a couple of common tests are to push up on the underside with the truck off, make sure it moves smoothly, push up on the underside with the engine running, see if the engine starts to stumble, and check that the valve will hold vacuum.
