About a week ago I changed my EGR valve becuase my check engine light kept coming on and the diagnostic said it was the EGR valve. Anyone who has used a Wells EGR valve knows that you have to use the correct washer and stamp 4 sides of the housing with a punch to keep the washer in. I didn't have a punch so I just put 2 edges of the washer in a vice to make it expand so that it would stay in the EGR housing. Anyway, what could be causing this whistling noise, possibly a bad gasket or hose or what?
