Eldorado caliper problem

Im trying to finish up my 14 bolt FF disc brake conversion, but I am having a problem getting the piston on the caliper to go all the way back in. What kind of tool is needed to do this? I have tried the local parts stores but the idiots at the counter dont know what I am talking about. Somebody please help me out on this, I need to get my K5 back on the road!

Is it out further than when you replace pads? If its anything like the front disks on the half tons, either hand pressure, (kinda hard sometimes) or a big C clamp slowly cranked down will do it. On your app, not sure if you can fit something like that in there.

Ok, first of all, be careful you do not damage the bellows like <font color=blue>Shawn</font color=blue> did

, anyway, you can turn the calipers down by hand. You will have to remove the lever (not talking about the bracket, remove it too) from the caliper by taking the nut off. Next, you will push in on the piston, or you can use the lever as a wrench and turn it. You will notice the piston will move when you turn the lever. Next, make sure the piston is in far enough, and replace the lever in the fully open position (E-Brake OFF) (against the lever stop) because if you put it in the position where the lever would be when the E-brake is ON, you would then tighten the caliper more when you install the e-brake cable. Email me if this works.

The other solution is to buy $12 GM calipers and forget about it.
