I just had this continuous duty pump and filter given to me from a friend. It is intended to supply 4 cylinder refrigeration units for Carrier units. It says 9-11 psi on it but does not list flow. The threaded connections appear to be 1/8th pipe for 1/4" tubing. I intend to use this pump only when putting in a new filter to bleed the air in the lines. My question is will this pump let the fuel flow through it when pulled by the mechanical pump enough to supply a stock 6.2 at highway speeds?

I have a universal electric pump that looks like a gas filter on my 6.2 plow truck,in addition to the stock mechanical lift pump on the engine....I leave it on all the time, when its running...but I can shut it off and the engine will still run OK,though you can tell the difference without it "helping".............................................................................................not sure if the pump your planning to use will allow fuel to pass thru with it shut off, only way to tell is to try it probably....my pump only puts out 4-6 PSI,not sure if higher psi will affect anything--probably not on a diesel, but it'd flood a carbed engine, most likely...
