Do these exist? If so does any one have a recommendation? I will be re-painting my 88 R30 crew cab longbed this summer and was looking for the best way to sand it down. Our air compressor is kinda craptacular so I was hoping to go the electric route. Your thoughts?

Porter Cable.. i've been mentioning them in here for years.. they are the only brand worth mentioning... actually only one i know of.. usual porter cable quality... beat air DA's in alot of ways.. it's all we've been using in marina's for decades.. pricey tho.. they run about $150...

i finally killed mine recently after about 15 yrs of abuse...

There are alot of random orbit electric sanders out there. Not truly a "DA" but work pretty good.

"palm" sanders aren't like a DA.. not even close.... that porter cable kills any non-rotating palm type sander...

I think they come with 5" pads, obviously worth it to upgrade to a 6"...

I really need to pick up a new one myself...

I have this Porter cable myself and agree its the only one worth mentioning. Quality piece of equipment. I use it to buff my nsx when it needs it.
