So maybe unusual choice for a build thread but I feel it's worth mentioning for others that have or want a similar truck for their kids.
So I got this used from a friend and like everyone else says it worked when last parked.
I tried to charge it overnight and it didn't take.
So I pulled the battery and went to batteries and bulbs to check for options.
The original battery is a 6v 9.5ah
They have the OEM replacement for $69 or I could buy the 14ah without the plug and wire for $52.
I looked under the hood and there is a spot for a second battery complete with the hold down bracket.
So I figured if the original 9.5ah would last 30 minutes the 2x14ah would last 90 minutes.
So I got 2 and wired them in parallel and charged them overnight and the next morning I let the boy play with it.
Now the original truck did fine indoors on tile or laminate but struggled a little bit on carpet and outside it was fine on flat but couldn't go up a curb or a driveway.
Well he started going and he went straight towards the curb, it climbed right up and onto the steep lawn area where it slowed down a little but kept moving and then to the driveway, up and down.
Now it really is an off road truck and he has a blast driving it.
He's 2.5 y o and he is pretty good using forward and reverse maneuvering between obstacles and when he's stuck he backs up and hits it from a different angle.
I have one more upgrade to do for traction, it already is a solid axle so both rear tires have traction but plastic is slippery so I figured a coat of bedliner would give it some better traction.
I will put some more pics of the battery and some better in action pics but here's a few to know what it is.

The pink landcruiser at my house has an old harley battery in it, I hogged out the plastic to make a common motorcycle battery fit and the seat still fits. Its 12v though...I want to glue rubber on the tires from an old mat I have laying around, although bedliner is a good idea...

Let's see if I can upload pictures now.

Still not working.
No idea what is happening.

Not sure why but tried in other threads as well the upload file manager is not opening up.
I hope it's the website not my phone

My kids battery 4 wheeler has cut up atvs tires screwed to the plastic tires with tek screws. It goes all over the place compared to the other one we have with just the plastic tires. Both of them also have the low/high speed switch hard wired on high all the time. We have like 3 batteries and a quick charger and he will burn though them as fast as he can when we go camping.

So they got bored with it being slow, so I replaced the 6v battery with 12v, went pretty quick, traction became a challenge but fun factor went up.
Problem was the battery didn't last long enough.

So they had another smaller car that they didn't want to ride, pink didn't bother them but slow did.
It's a pink Convertible vw bug.
I did the 12v battery switch and now they like it but it was spinning one tire and I was trying to figure out how to make the shaft turn both wheels, turns out it used to be but the plastic pieces that hold the shaft busted open.
So I made them from steel.
Now it's got traction.

So after the success of the big I did the 12v on the f150, but the battery was depleted too quick, so honda battery to the rescue

Haha, all my boys did with theirs was try run each one over or jump off the curb, which it would just plop. Not enough speed to get a Duke Boys launch.
They out grew it but they had some fun.

They are driving them like bumper cars.
The 2.5 yo is definitely the better driver, I have got to watch him growing up.
