Hello...
I've done the searches and gotten some great info on doing this conversion on my 1985 GMC Jimmy...I got the parts suggested by a couple of folks who have done this conversion and want to know if there is anything to watch out for? the manual says to drill a hole in the gear mechanism to prevent some kind of dangerous snap back of the spring...can someone who has done this comment on procedure? Can I just pull off the access door and do this whole conversion from inside the truck with the window up or what? thanks for any experience you might be able to offer...
