so i finally got my truck home yesterday. thank god my buddy has a flatbed.

anyways. its come down to the ecmb fuse keeps blowing. it happened one other time and then i replaced it. truck ran and drove fine for 2 weeks.
then yesterday on a dirt road it blew. then blew again. and continued to do this 5 times.

so i call my buddy and he comes out with a bunch of fuses. we pull the ecm1 and ecmb fuse. and just put a brand new fuse in the ecm1. truck starts right up and acts like nothing is wrong. drove it to pavement fine. didt wanna push my luck so we loaded it on the bed and drove home.

so today i go out and start it. runs fine. no surging. no cutting out. let it sit for an hour and it never died nor stumbled.

theres still no fuse in the ecmb slot. how is it still running and what the hel is wrong?
im at a loss. all the searching ive done, and nothing similiar has come up.

You have a short or a ground.
Somewhere, the insulation has rubbed off a wire, and is touching an (A) another wire (a short) or (B) the bare wire is touching bare metal (a ground)
Get out a wire diagram and trace where the wire(s) that lead from the fuse to where the problem is.
This type of problem drive me crazy because they a ***** to find.

alright well i just took it out for a ride. runs fine and then all in the sudden stops gettin fuel and almost stalls then gets it. really happens a lot going up hills. i noticed if im facing uphill and shift it into D itl stall out but if i put it into 1st and shift up as i drive its fine.

im thinkin a bad ground. just have to figure out where. seems like something with the fuel system. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the system?
