Crude Visio diagram of how to wire up an ignition. Is this good or will it not work / start a fire?

Thanks!

Is that a "from scratch" diagram or is it being tied into an existing harness?

Been many a moon since I wired in an MSD, so I'll assume that stuff is correct..

The only thing I would tell you is to make sure that "switched" ignition wire from the key to the msd is hot in both the "run" and "start" position... otherwise it wont fire until you back the key off the "start" position..

Yeah, the MSD isn't the issue. I got that figured out fine. It's just the wires under the hood that I don't fully understand. ie, what the best way to wire the alt to the starter to the batter.

thanks

What you have works... starter wire and alternator should definitely go to the battery...

you can pick up your cab and msd feed from there, the alternator, or starter as a last resort...

Awesome, many thanks my good sir.

After ripping out all my Heat/AC stuff, I seriously contemplated mirroring your build. 1 step at a time. Gotta get her running first...

Thanks again

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.... If some of my stuff gives others ideas or direction, thats a good thing... I'm VERY pleased with how my setup is working....

Eventually I'll run MSD in the cab, I have an older 6A floating around... Just trying to iron out the breaker panel and essentials first.. I'm also contemplating moving my map and egr solenoid inside too...

Good luck firing up the mill...
