A week ago my oil pressure gauge needle started to fickle at around 30 behind or just above when it is normally stays almost to 60 or on 60 when accelerating.

This started to happen after an oil change.

However I had no problems after this duebto me going from new Orleans to gulport Mississippi, which is an over am hour drive and back the next day.

Then earlier today my CD player/radio started to blink on and off certain times. Then when I hit the dash thebleft blinker came on and cannot go out. It stays on.

Plus the headlights stays on even though the switch is turned off. And once in a while the fuel gauge goes down to "empty" but goes back up even though there is fuel

I love your posts lol!

First thing to do is pull the fuses. One at a time and make sure none of them are burned up.

If that's ok then you may have a ground issue.

I wouldn't worry about the oil unless it's pegged all the time or its on zero.

Could be something simple but start with fuses and report back.

My oil pressure gauge dances all over the place, sometimes it is stable, other times I swear I have seen the needle do 360 degrees around the gauge, and it did this when the truck was two years old when I bought it,it now has 246000 on it

What was wrong with gm when they made these electrical wires?

They shouldve used heavy duty wires

Sounds like a hot wire is grounding out. Since you recently pulled the pan to replace an oil pump, you should check the wires around the starter motor, Since these wires are close to the oil pan rail, you could have damaged or pinched a wire in that location.

No. I recently did an oil change a couple of weeks ago. After that the oil gauge started flicking behind, or in front of 30.

Although I did drive to gulfport Mississippi and back to new Orleans the next day with non problems

Maybe the wire was damaged do to the mini starter being smaller than the regular oem starter which gave the wire enough room to oil pan rail?

Forgot to mention. I checked the oil last night at the gas station and it had bubbles on the oil. Is this bad?

if the bubbles is white frothing, this means the engine is over-filled with oil. Is the oil a brown choclate milk color?
