I have an '86 k5 that i am in the process of fixing up. The problem i am having is in the wiring. From the owners manual i know that the dome lights, cig lighter, horn and clock are on the same circuit. When I put a fuse in the fusebox it blows right away which tells me there is a direct short somewhere. After following wires for two days I am at a loss of ideas. Has anybody had this problem? Thanks for the help yall.

cigarette lighters are notorious for shorting out.. isolate the components to determine which has the issue.. i'd bet if you disconnect the lighter it wont blow fuses..
