The 76 burb has no lights in the back at all. Flashers are out, back up lights don't work, no brake lights, no nothing. I pulled a big bundle out from under the back and stripped all of the old tape off, rewired the ends and taped them back in a better fashion but it ended up blowing all of the fuses anyway.

Is there an easy way to trace down electrical probs. I told Nolan I would take him camping in 2 weeks for the weekend but would need all the lights up and going before I go. Can't get a ticket on the CDL license.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

You can trace them, most likely you have a wire pinched or melted, thus the fuses blowing out.

I always start at the problem (tail lights) and work forward. Make sure the ground wire for the back is clean and tight.

I haven't looked under your year very close, but the 72 has a pigtail plug in on the crossmember near the rear bumper. See if yours has one.

my 82 blazer has the wires to all the rear lights in a ribbon cable type setup. with them all running literally right next to each other, and it looks like they may share a common ground on the back. i'd find the ground first, in your case.
