Electronic Speedo, is it needed

I'm in the planning stages on building a new dash. It's a trail only rig so I don't need the speedo. Will removing the electronic speedo affect anything with the puter and the running of the engine?

No. If all you remove is the speedometer, you won't have ANY problems.

Is the VSS separate from the speedo on the electric speedo set-ups?

Yes. Cruise control, VSS, Speedo, and ABS are all fed straight off the DRAC, so removing the speedometer won't affect anything else.
