Eliminating EGR on a TBI Engine

What is involved? I'd assume the computer would freak out if it was just blocked off..

I think you can just take the vacumn line off the EGR and plug it and the EGR won't open. I thought the egr would help you get better gas mileage?

Why do you want to disconnect it? The EGR helps to cool cylinder temps and keep the engine from pinging.
