Emblem removal

Can somebody please tell me the secret of removing this emblem? Im prepping for paint but i cant get this off (short of a torch) the front fender...

Most body shops I sold supplies to would mask off those emblems rather than try removing them--there are pal nuts on the back side that go on stubs cast into the emblem,and they usually snap off instead of the nuts coming off--then you have to either use double sided tape or emblem adhesive to put them back on..

If they came off with the stubs intact,most of the body shops would use "barrel clips" to re-install the emblems instead of risking breaking off the stubs by putting new pal nuts on them..the barrel clips just get shoved in the fender hole,then you press the emblem's stubs into them..the barrel clips can cause rust to form around the holes where they took off the paint during installation though eventually..

Yup there are 2 pins that go into the fender. Ill take a pic of emblem removed when I get home
