Emblem Tape

i just picked up some 3M emblem tape today,i am going to put the emblems back on my K5.But I have a question, is there a solvent you can use to remove the adhisive,that won't take the paint off? i am asking just incase i mess up.

WD40 - removes the glue or a hair dyer NOT BOTH at the same time. It's that old flammable gas thing.

speaking of gas, gasoline will actually take that stuff right off...
