I posted a while ago about emission plugs in 88 exh manifolds. I am removing the headers on my 85 (hate the leaks and such). I am going with 88 TBI manifolds. They are good cause I do not have to use a heat riser spacer on the right side. They will also fit my stock 85 Y-pipe I had lying around. Anyway I just cut the emission tubes off and kept the plugs. Then I cut a piece of flat stock as caps and TIG welded caps on. I know I could have bought a 7/8-18 (that is what my thread pitch gauge says) but it was late at night and nothing was opened. It took about 30 min to do both of them.
