emission problems???

gotta 1976 k5 with a 350 and a carter abf comp. carb. i am not sure on the size of the carb. but i leaned the sucker out as far as i could and the test results were hydrocarbons at 700 which i guess is at 3 times passing limit. engine has undergone tune up(plugs , wires, cap, rotor?.. any suggestions before suspension? thanks

When you did your tune-up, did you also check your timing?

replacement of the cat. converter possibly.

my former s10 blazer was at 1000+ then i did the full tune up thing and dropped to 700ish then the new cat dropped it to 8! Cat didnt seem plugged and didnt smell, it just didnt work
