End all post for DRAC/VSS (yeah right)

I'll have to take a look when I get home. I printed it off and have it somewhere on my desk and could easily scan it for you IF I can find where I put it.

Thanks, Scott.

If you do find it, rather then scan it, could you just take a quick look at the one on the bottom of this page and see if they are the same?

Ok, I found the stuff I printed off, if you're talking about the jumper settings for the DIP switches they are the same as the TBIchips chart.

hey guys...where can I find my drac? 1990 suburban, 6.2l diesel, no ecm....

i juat got a speedo for my 81 k20 that yas the blue box on iy wjat oa the pin out im using the 2000 ppm for speed input to cruise and my ecm for a tbi swap

Don't mean to pawn your question off elsewhere, but I don't know the pinout for certain. I'm not sure if they changed, but I remember running across some that were four wire vs. three, so there are differences of some sort.

The wiring and/or service manual for a 1982(?)-1986 C/K truck should tell you what it is: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showpost.php?p=5621043&postcount=1

Can't really go wrong I don't think, AFAIK those only put out 2K PPM, so as long as power and ground is right, you should be good to go.

Having trouble with a similar speedo swap, Converted my 72 Blazer to 2wd, used the whole drive train from a 1993 Caprice wagon 5.7 TBI and maybe 1st year for the 4L60...Howell H242 stand alone harness, speedo and fuel temp gauges from the caprice, built the dash bezel from glove box door, I cannot find a drac module or vss buffer, was it possibly it is included in the cruise box, needle moves slightly. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. As usual I have a lot of time invested in this and would love to get it to work correctly....Thanks Ed.

You might find some info useful over on jagsthatrun.com
They have a writeup on VSS that is not correct for the trucks, but AFAIK is correct for cars. Main point: cars used different VSS systems than the trucks. On some of them I believe the VSS went directly to the ECM/PCM.

Thanks for posting an answer, and thanks for the link. I did find the drac module, it's disguised, and on the opposite side of the car. I also posted on 67-72 site hoping to get correct wiring, since 4k wire is also brown and not green like the diagram shows. Hope to get this rebuilt and back together this week.
