End all radiator

I'm inclined to stay with OE stuff for ease of servicing / replacement. I use a diesel rad with a heavy duty fan clutch w/ a 9 blade (reverse rotation - serp set up). Mine cools really well but I've only really tested it a couple of times. I don't have a wild motor but it does make a solid 425 hp.

That said... The set up @Stephen is using in the tan Ultimate Adventure truck has got to be pretty dang close to an end all combination to survive last years UA trip without overheating. I don't know how much power he's making but I'm sure it's healthy. See the description here, not far below your post - https://ck5.com/forums/threads/ultimate-adventure-2015-truck.326930/

Ok, so my TBI is lucky to make 120hp. That was for Internet effect, I'll look into Stephens setup

Hey man, everything makes more power sitting in the shop! :burnout:

4 row brass and copper, pushers and pullers on switches, factory clutch fan and heavy duty t-stat, cap,
w/p and hoses.

Be cool direct fit with dual fans keep the BBC cool in summer time. It's expensive, but it's perfect.

Mount a port-a-cool to the front bumper

Holy! Years ago I bought a Griffin for my Bigblock 64 Ford. I thought that was about as good as it gets at $500. I had no idea that you could put $1500 into a cooling setup!

I had so many cooling issues prior to this purchase. My trucks are the one place I don't think or spend rationally.

I consider it a tool. And I'm done buying shitty tools.

I am glad that yours worked out.
The one I bought started leaking at the header panel soon after warranty expired.
I had it epoxied at a radiator shop as BeCool said they would do. That got me 2 months...
I sold it and got a Northern aluminum which does as good, less money, no leaks.

My '90 has a 4 row copper/brass. I can go wheeling with the A/C on.... it had an 11 blade Vortec fan.

I'd be willing to ship them his way, or to @Gravel Maker , or @cybrfire , @Stephen .

I have no plans to run these. Was walking a yard a few week back and stumbled across them, only picked them up after reading how @ZooMad75 and @mrk5 and a few others were having troble finding them...

I wonder if @Deuling could copy / reproduce those since they're so hard to find?
I suggested that too, but it didn't bring a lot of interest.

The brackets are out there. But you need the 6.2 specific fan shroud to go along with the brackets, radiator and the separate top plate. Best to swipe all the parts from the same place if you can.

So did my buddy with his BBC gen 1 K5 until he bought the complete be cool setup. That thing never gets over 185 now.

If anything mine is cooling TOO well right now. 155 is about all it sees on the road at highway speeds or traffic. 90 degrees ambient or less. Only time I've seen the gauge get to 190ish was on my last off road run a couple of weekends ago. That was after 2-3 hours of nothing but putting around in low range in 75-80 degree temps.

The low running is fooling my engine control system into fuel enrichment as it thinks it's cold and my fuel economy has noticeably gone down. Might have to block some of mine off to build some heat. As it is, the setup is supreme overkill for an aluminum headed 5.3.

Hi All ,

Just throwing in my 2 cents here ! Funny this should come up I run a 468ci big block and here in the middle east it gets to about 55 degrees in the shade .
I've always had problems keeping it cool . Just 2 days ago I pulled my 4 core rad and swapped in a 2 core ( Wide tube ) aluminum rad which was made in a small
workshop on the side of the road . I was running at 200-to-220 all the time before dropping the ali rad in . Now I cant get over 180 ! I've beat on it on small dunes and the gauge doesn't budge.
I must add I didn't run any coolant only pure water , just to check for leaks .
Cheers .
