Seriously, junkyards and watch the paper for people parting out 1-tons for the "60" and 3/4 tons for the "14". You can pick up good 14s for $150 and up depending on gearing and carrier. Look for the majority of the 60 fronts to be considerably higher.

Watch the papers and traders posts for a k30 4x4 you can sometimes buy a hole truck cheaper than just the parts you need.The good part is you get a 400/205 combo or a 465/205 combo!!!And some other parts you need,then sell it for scrap metal!

In Pickup Trader here in Dallas there used to be a place in the back that had all rear axles for $39.95, transmissions for $49.95 and engines for like $79.95. They probably dont have anything good but you never know
