engine angle

im trying to make a crossmember for my truck.

i need to know if there is a certain angle the motor is supposed to be at

No response from those that have played around with mounting engines differently than stock?

I'll take a stab. Use the TB mounting surface on the intake, and use a level. That surface should be flat.

Anyone disagree?

Noticed that on the carbed intakes, the carb surface is not "inline" with the rake of the engine, which indicates to me that GM made the carb/TB surface parallel in relation to the ground.

well i asked a guy at work today and he sed that the yoke on the transfercase should be 4* and whatever the angle of the motor is, is what angle it should be.

does that make sense?
