I think the driveshaft angles are a determining factor more than anything.

whenever i moved my engine to less angle, my collectors on my headers moved up and my body mouny brackets were in the way then.

Lol.... that was my NH shop in 2009!!!

Once I decided to go with the flipped Ford 9” axles the driveshaft angles got a lot flatter and the pinion angles were a lot shallower too. Actually, the portal boxes help those angles a lot too.
