I got a friend that has a 69 Comaro SS. he is getting ready to sell it and asked me to time it for him. it is SUPPOSED to have the origonal engine in it. i have not gotten the numbers to run them yet, but a few features on the block have me wondering. it has a large webbing on the front passanger side of the block just above the timing chain cover. i have never seen this before. it also has the oil pressure in the front and the back. i am told that it could be a 283? or a 350 or a 327. with those two features im guessing it isnt enough to help. but i couldnt read the numbers without a mirror. so i have to go back. any ideas is VERY HELPFULL!

Get the suffix code off the block. That will tell you everything you need to know.

Go to the website Mortec.com they will tell you what block this is.......................Good luck
