engine blocks

anyone know of a site that lists what blocks can be swaped with each other without installing new mounts... and what blocks are used ...(ex.. 305, 350, ...etc) what bores are in the same block... i'll be replacing my 350 and i'm wanting to go with the biggest block i can find in a bone yard that's still usable.... thanks

You could use any small or big block chevy & use the same mounts. They are all the same. If you were wanting to stick with a small block, the 400 is the largest displacement chevy ever made.
