I posted about this before, but before i hunt down new engine just want to run the problem by again. Engine runs good no smoke at start up no white smoke at all, engine is quiet. Drove the truck about 100 miles the breather tube was in to far and it kept blowing the dip stick out and shooting oil every where. Pulled the tube out a bit no more dip stick issue.
Truck has sat for a bit, took to the store to run it bit came home parked it noticed oil coming from a different spot, opened the hood pulled the cold air tube for stock air cleaner and it poured oil all over, pulled air cleaner apart it was loaded with oil. When i first had the problem i switched the valve covers to see if they would work any different and put another pcv valve in. When i checked this stuff again i noticed the pcv valve was bone dry not a drop of oil, did not even smell, checked the line it was clear started the engine tested the valve it worked, a little presure came out of opening on the valve cover. I did a quick air cleaner swap and took of all other lines except pcv and breather took it for a romp. new air cleaner was filled with oil in about 10 miles, pcv valve bone dry! This is alot of oil for blow by and the engine not smoking or running poorly, before i go and swap it out is there any other reason for so much positve presure and the pcv valve being clean. The breather tube is about 3/4 to an inch is this to big and is it sucking air oil out of engine? Stumped any help would be great, have a new baby and dont want to spend the time if not need swapping engines.
Sorry so long

Is the PVC valve hooked up right? it should be plumed into a line that has full manifold vaccum. Is the PVC hose to the manifold in good condition? Vaccum leaks or cracks?

Might want to do a compression check before you go out and buy a new engine.

Hose is in good shape, it is plumbed into the large vac port on the center of the carb, the carb is an edlebrock. The po half ass took the emission stuff of, un hooked what have, i re routed the best i could.
