Ok guys heres the deal. I'm lookin to rebuild my 97 vortec 350.Problem is they have dish pistons in them to keep the compression down with the vortec heads. So my question is whats a good brand of pistons that are dished, and that wont cost me 4-600 bucks. Dont need anything fancy.

is there a problem with the existing ones, how are the bores?

No problem with the existing pistons. The bores have some ring ridge. The motor only had a main knock to it. Figured if I'm gona go through the trouble of havin it apart, might as well build it.

I would run a KB piston and they come with either a 12cc or 18cc dish.

are you going to ridge ream/hone or bore the block? There really isn't that much of an advantage going to aftermarket pistons if you're going to maintain the stock bore...

Well if I don't have to bore it, I would like to stay with a stock bore. I was thinkin just have it honed, line bored and cleaned. Also was gona have the rods resized with new bolts.
