yes you can put a 455 pontiac in a truck chassis, as well as any buick, olds, cadillac or pontiac V8. change your transmission to one with a BOP (buick,olds, pontiac) bolt pattern and the engine will bolt in. you will have to improvise engine mounts and exhaust, but there is a lot of room in the truck engine compartment so it isn't a bad swap to do. In a 4WD swap you may have to have the automatic transmission mainshaft from a chevy 4WD tranny put in the BOP transmission since you will need it to bolt up to your transfer case. if you have a manual transmission just use the matching bellhousing for your engine.
