so the guy i went wheelin with today was havin some over heating problems. his fans wouldnt kick on. wound up being a ground issue.

anyway so im lookin and i had never seen fans like his before, they werent stock and they werent any aftermarket ive seen. so i questioned him. they were off of a cat diesel engine. they moved some serious air too. his coolant was boiling and overflowing due to the fans not kickin them on. the temp gauge was pegged at 250.

we got the fans on and i swear in literally 2 min the engine was idlin fine and the temp was at 180. he said there was a kit to do it to. hes got so much trick stuff done.

his rigs a late model 90s 1/2 ton stepside that he ripped the whole drive train and suspension out of. built a 454 and mated it to a th400 and a 205. he did a dana 60 front and a 14bff in the rear. all the mounts and brackets he custom made and designed himself. real beafy stuff too. made his own brackets for a shackle flip in the back, all new crossmembers and such. ill try to get some pictures next weekend. he hammers on this thing to so its real stout stuff.

yea had a shroud but i still couldnt believe how quick they cooled the engine down once they finally kicked on when we gottem workin.
