Engine gurus, check this dyno sheet

thoughts?
Can't see it for some reason

World products aluminum "409". 540 cid, dual 4's NA.

Nice, we ran a 540 std BBC platform in one of our drag cars. Punts a car real well

Have a link to the build? Curious about the W head recast in aluminum

I'm not really an engine guru but that little dip could be an ignition issue or fuel issue.

Shouldn't be too hard to minimize it with some tweaking.

Yep I wondered that as well.

But I've seen Super Flow dynos do that. They are computer controlled load, they can cause that by loading the engine too fast

The thing that messed with my head was tq and hp aren't crossing over at 5252 rpm...

No build link either, I was curious too. All I know is dual 4's. 12:1 CR and 540 cid. Really healthy numbers for NA. This was posted on another forum I frequent.

right tq and hp always meet at 5252 rpm.
That torque curve don't look right at all.

But they do meet. Well more than likely.

The torque scale starts at 450 and the power scale starts at 300.

Since they are scaled differently they don't appear to meet

You got it Eric. I have never seen a dyno sheet with two scales on it and my gut said something was wrong.

Anyways, apparently the heads on this 540 are based on the Z11 raised castings used in the lightweight '63 impalas. That motor is going in this 61 Biscayne.

I see now
Didn't notice the difference in scales
