so i don't know much of anything about engines. please explain what this means.. i want to learn. i want to throw this in my firebird but i think I'm going to throw some oval heads on it first. what are some good heads for it and where can i buy them. heres what i found.
block # 14093638
Notes: CARB/FI, 1 piece rear main seal, roller lifters, center bolt valve covers, pump block off w/inj.
89-92 350 Block ID # VIN CODE "8"

The block number will tell you what type of engine size it is regarding cubic inches and year it was made.
It has a carburetor for fuel injection method.
I'm not sure of the others but I believe they are more sought after than a stock engine.

i want to throw a carb on it so if i pull off the TBI fuel injection can i slap a carb on it with a conversion plate or do i have to get a new intake manifold? also if i put a blower on it what do i have to change the pistons to? i know you have to change them but i dont know why or to which ones.

You will need a new intake to run a carb...I don't know of anyone making a conversion for TBI to carb. Plus the heads will have the 4 center bolts angled differntly...not an issue if you plan on changing them.

A blower is a big investment. There is more to it than bolting it on and going down the road. The crank should be upgraded to a forged unit, same thing with the rods. The pistons should also be forged. You will want a low compression ratio. Somewhere around 8:1. The blower will cram a bunch of air in there...effectivly raising the compression.

I'm pretty sure you would need a new intake, maybe not, someone else can clarify that for sure.
I don't have a clue about putting a blower on it.
