What engine hoist would you buy:
The jegs OR The eastwood

The eastwood one is almost twice the price, and I don't know why. Please vote in the poll:

After you vote, please tell me why you chose that answer.

do you have a local auto parts store? go there and ask, shipping would kill any savings you will find on the net

1. There's no I'm nekkid option
2. There's no Rent one option

steve there has to be a princes auto out there. check them out, they have reasonable prices on lota stuf like that, hoists, jacks, air tools, ect.

Canadians:
There is no shop like you 2 described, there is Lordco autoparts I could try. Otherwise thats about it.

i have one similar to the jegs one but i paid $50 bucks cheaper and it was local. any tool place should be able to get one cheaper than jegs.

i got mine from pep boys for 200 bucks and i can hook it up to the air compressor which i find is nice. good quality, and has performed well.

200.00 bucks

Foldable engine lifts are the best. If not they take up so much space.

Yeah, I will need a foldable one because I can hardly walk around in my shop because theres so much stuff /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'll check the local store here when I get back in august... any specific options I should look for?
Thanks

Go to autozone and make the handle of their display one "disappear". I didnt do it but the one I bought was missing the jack handle (a foot long piece of 1/2" pipe) so they knocked like $30 off of like $150 I think /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Did you not see my post? If you buy one for say $200 USD then it will at least be $450 CAD to your door. Just order one from house of tools if you don't have one near you go online to the link someone else previously mentioned.

Okay, I will go to the house of tools website and take a look at them. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

its just an awesome deal, I searched high and low before I bought mine. The only thing close was I think $350 at a local parts store.

Fry,
Where are they located? I am on the site right now and cant find a location thing. How much would shipping be? Do you think they will still have them in a month? I don't have the money right now. Thats a really good deal I don't want to miss /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

ah, if only we could take a truck when my family goes down to the coast (victoria). DARN... uummm... I will find a map and see whatone is closer. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
