Engine Hoist

I am going to be getting a Engine Hoist soon and have been looking at ones at different stores
Harbor Freight
Schucks/Kragen
Auto Zone
Pep Boys

I have used the one from Harbor Freight before and it seemed to work well, what are your thoughts on which to get? It will see occosional home use only so I don't need anything heavy duty.

Don't know what the quality is like, but the one at Pep Boys is advertised for around $119 (after rebates...), which is cheaper than the Harbor Freight one when it's on sale.

one of those commonly seen red painted 4k lb ones works great i have one of those and have used the hell out of it, they run about 250 bucks these days i think maybe a hair less depending on where at

it was stolen from out here on the property last june and i just found it the other day and the police confiscated it and a couple pics i had that it was in,

hopefully tomorrow that ordeal will be over,




and then i have a big 5k lb one from the early '70's or maybe late 60's
thats my one for lifting vehicles and such
