Ive got a really weird probelm with my 350 and im hopping someone has an idea becuase im about to give up......

I have an 80 blazer with a 350 and a 4 speed. I had the motor rebuilt and its only got about 6k on it and i was driving a friend home just crusing in 2nd gear and all of a sudden It just started knocking / banging....i got out and looked and didnt see anything bent broken or anything...i had good oil pressure wasnt running hot or anything...I was only a few miles from my house so i drove it home in first...The noise sounds like a ticking a low rpm and a knock at higher rpm but it only does it under load...Ive drained the oil and theres no metal at all....I have a mechanical oil pressure guage that stays around 60-80psi....Nothing seems out of the ordinary...I pulled the rockers and theres oil up all the pushrods and the valve lash is all good...ive asked a few people and have got totally random anwsers...everyone agrees its not a rod knock but could be a wrist pin, piston skirt, someting with the clutch, bent pushrod and others...I cant see the clutch through the bellhousing....I need to get this fixed ASAP becuase its my daily driver but im stumped.....Ive heard alot of noises but none like this or when this one happens.....any ideas?

Get yourself a prybar of some kind and see if you can move the crank back and forth front to rear. If you can move it anything more than about .008" then you have a bad thrust bearing.

i cant beleive how fast that was....I forgot to say that its missing now also...Im gonna go grab my pry bar right now...
