My engine has the motor sign saying "LS9", wasn't that the signage for the Corvette models? I'm not so familiar with the small block engines, as I'm quite new to the scene.

My data:
1991 K5
350 TBI stock, no mods

So my questions, is this all correct??? Please help, as I don't even know how muche horse power my baby has...

The only 'Vettes that got TBI had Crossfire injection on them (82,84). Wasn't a very good system, looked cool though. Z28s and Trans Ams also were avalible with this setup, only on a 305. 82 and 83 were the only years for it on these cars. After that disaster of an attempt at fuel injection, GM went with TPI for the Corvettes and F-bodys (although TBI was offered in the F cars as well).

So in short, your motor is a stock run of the mill TBI 350. Nothing special.

This is what i think he was talking about , the RPO being recycled by GM , from the wiki entry :

The LS9 RPO code was originally used on 69 and up Chevy trucks, available in 2 and 4 wheel drives, Blazers, Jimmys, and Suburbans. The original LS9 was a 350 cu in V8. The Gen IV LS9 is a supercharged 6,162 cc (6.162 L; 376.0 cu in) engine
RPO's get recycled quite often , remember when the LT1 debuted in the 90's as a recycle of the 1970 LT1 350 .( of course I know the engine this guys rig is supposed be a TBI motor , the heads do have the 87 and newer holes for the spark plug wire hold downs )

Definatly not a LS9. In trucks, the LS9 was the basic old carbeurated 350. 175 HP and 275 torque.
Your engine is a Throttle Body fuel Injected (TBI) LO5. 210 HP 300 Ft Lbs TQ.

Thanks so far...

But the motor sign shows LS9 in the papers... i will put in a pic of the swiss paperwork tomorrow...
So you say LS9 isn't possible on a stock 350 TBI?
