I have a 1990 suburban 1500 4x4 which has the 5.7 Lo5 engine.
Does anyone have specs for this engine ?
Does it have 4 bolt mains ?
Is it a good engine to start with or not ? Any problems with it ?
Thanks

Ok, it's your basic run of the mill 5.7 litre (350cid) 90 degree V-8 internal combustion engine with throttle-body speed-density fuel-injection and electronic spark control
4.000" bore
3.480" stroke
5.7" rods
1.64:1 rod ratio
Cast crank, rods and pistons with press-fit pins
Wet-sump oiling system
2-bolt mains....sorry

What else do you wanna know....?

Good motor but gutless....Mine had 350,000 miles on it before it blew the rear seal and pumped out all the oil, locking it up.

If it does not have to much internal damage, that motor will be turned into a roller cammed 383 as all the block shifting should be done....
