hey guys.. i have had my 88 TBI 350 acting extremely wierd lately.. i installed the motor this past winter, ran fine until now. I had a code 13 pulling up which was O2 sensor saying its to lean. So seemed to be running fine, drove 40mins out to a local fairground, i sat in traffic for like good 20minutes.. then it started spuddering and stalling just as i was in traffic kinda idleing along. I tried to save it w/ flooring it and such.. no luck, it died.. i roll to the side of the road, sit for about 15minutes then it starts up again.. but this time i have a knock, the valve on my driver side is ticking a lil bit.. im like crappp this sucks.. and have no real option.. i just drove it to the fair very cautiously another 2miles to the parking. Went to the fair came out.. turned it on, no tick, no engine light nothing, drove 45mins home purring like a kitten.
Today.. go back to the fair, same thing, drive there. traffic, idle along slowly bam truck shuts off.. did this like 4times.. and would take about 10mins to start up again after dieing... tick came back.. parked it.. came out repeat of yesterday, drove perfectly fine. WHAT the HELL could cause that? one of the guys in the traffic said my distributor module.. i am not sure tho what it could be.. any advice? help? thanks guys!
