Engine seems like its missing when its cold

check that when you go to start that the choke closes most of the way.if its electric or heat riser controlled it should be adjusted to where it is almost closed at startup and fully open when warm.you have too lean a mix on startup and it is starving for fuel and the cold air makes it worse.clean the outside of the carb and linkage with carb cleaner and make sure all the linkage is moving properly and adjust the choke.may be something sticking.

Aside from any choke or carb issues,it could be a lot of other things..one symptom of a slightly leaking head gasket is rough idle upon a cold start up,usually accompanied by a cloud of white smoke that might not be readily apparent...one way to tell is to start it up from dead cold and let it idle about 30 seconds, then remove the spark plugs, and look for one plug with some green or red coolant drops on it,or one that appears to be super clean, compared to the others..the coolant causes the plug to misfire, after the engine warms up fully the head gasket or cracked head may self-seal as it expands and you wont notice anything till the next cold start (except maybe a slight loss of coolant over time..)

Hope its just a simple choke adjustment in your case!...good luck..

yeah I hope its nice and simple. I was told by my friend that the engine was recenltly replaced so Im REALLY hoping its something nice and simple like the choke. Thanks guys.
