i have a bored out 350, 650 edelbrock, with edlebrock intake. lately my truck has been dying while driving, it runs fine and then every couple weeks it just dies, then it has a hard time starting, i have to push the pedal all the way down wile cranking it for about 20 sec then it turns on but dies while dribing for a couple mins. anyone have a clue what it could be?? carb gets plenty of gas.

Check the ignition. On top of the distributer there should be two wires one for the tach and one for the ignition, if like me you don't have a tach there is only one wire but the connectors are marked on the distributer.

There is a clip that is supposed to hold the wires in place but they break all the time. Here is a picture I took for you:

As you can see that little blue connecter is zip tied in.

Leme know if that works for ya.

If the problem mostly happens after the engine is warmed and driven.
Prolly a bad igniton module. Fairly cheap to replace. They can be tested at many auto parts stores.
If ign module is good, other place to look is the magnetic pick up coil.

well it did it again it does it when the truck isnt warmed up also. where is te ignition switch, tried it today and found out when you turn the key n to start it and let it go back it shuts off, but if you dont let the key go back once you start it, it will stay on, is it the peice where you insert the key??

well found out what it was, it was a switch that is connected to the brake pedal in needed to be replaced
