I am getting ready to swap a used crate engine in my K5. It has about 60k on it and ran good when pulled. I am going to put a 1 piece oil pan gasket in it, new valve cover gaskets, along with a new rear main seal. I'm going to rebuild the tbi unit also. I am planning to do a tune up with new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil. I have a few ideas on what I am planning to run but curious as to what brand of tune up parts everybody else would run? Here is what I was thinking about:

Can't go wrong with MSD, Accel is ok too. I've never dealt with Hypertech, so I couldn't tell you on that one. In my experience, with plugs, you're better off sticking to a stock type AC Delco plug. Can't remember the model number off hand....something something 45rts or something....

Ok, it was R45TS, I was close. I got mine off ebay, got 24 of them for less than what you'd spend on 8 of those rapid fires. Here's a good deal for you...Ebay Auction I'd go with that, unless someone else has some different advice for you.
