engine swap???

ok i have 2 m1008s . one has been sitting for like 10 years , but it is in perfect shape , complete everything is there but the motor . the other truck is a rustbucket with a good running engine , do i need to swap the fuel tanks cuz the one has been sitting for so long with some fuel in it ? it doesnt smell like diesel anymore ...and anything i will need to check or /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gifreplace ? help ! -Andy

I would prolly swap the tank(s) just cause it'd be one less thing to worry about. You could flush some fresh diesel through the existing tank...but I'd be worried if there had been water in the fuel for this long that you might have a lot of rusty scale and stuff in there.
