Hello,
Well I got my truck home today. When I was reving it up I heard a pop kinda like a back fire and the truck just died. It will just turn over now. where should I start to find the problem?
Thanks
Adam

When the fuel supply dies you rarely

have it happen with a back fire. Usually that indicates an ignition problem. My guess is that the distributor hold down clamp was loose and the distributor has jumped timing, or you need to check the timing chain.

Static check the timing after checking the distributor hold down clamp. I'll bet that you find the problem.

Good luck,

Hello,
I did noticed that my dizzy came loose but the clamp was still keeping it from jumping up. I am starting to think that the popping I heard was a backfire because that 350 is free flowing as hell with that 2.5" duel exhuast system. I know before when I was reving it up it would back fire when the RPM started to come down.
Thanks
Adam
