Hello CK5!

Happy to announce that Engineered Vintage is now a vendor on CK5. I joined CK5 nearly 22 years ago and have gone by “IGOR” until today. I have a background in Engineering - and worked at a well-known winch and hub lock company in Oregon for several years.

Engineered Vintage LLC was started in March of 2021 in Damascus, OR. All of our products are designed and produced in the USA!

We offer Behind Bumper Winch Mounts, Shackle Bracket tow hooks, and other accessories for vintage trucks.

We have Behind Bumper Winch Mounts for 67-87 GM trucks (up to '91 Suburban, K5, Crew). The 73-87 kits are the STRONGEST winch mounts on the market for these trucks - no other kit mounts to these trucks in as many places and reinforces the front frame areas and steering box like this kit.

We are currently working on extending our "Grille AF" product line (that's Grille, Aluminum Fabricated) from the 1971-1972 Chevrolet grille, to also include a 1977-1979 grille.

Awesome. Still need to install my shackle brackets I won at Blazer Bash but life has been nutty. Like wade said they are super beefy.

One question on the product development side. Given your background is there any chance we see a bolt together bumper design similar/improved over the one your former employer used to sell for these trucks?

Thanks again for becoming a Vendor Ben, need to get your tow hooks for my 72 this summer.
 
With nothing to move for the first time in weeks and staying at Larry's place we needed something to do. So I pulled out the shackle mounts and we got them bolted up. Pics coming from my other phone that's dead.


With the Warn Winch bumper we did end up having to grind a little of the edge of the bracket on each side to clear a mount bolt for the bumper. We could drill a 3rd hole for another mount bolt but refrained at this time.


Pretty easy install for sure otherwise. Plus they are darn near invisible under the warn bumper. Tossed a shackle on one and hooked the winch cable and snugged it down.
 
I’ll probably have to go take better pics but this does show them tucked well under the Warn bumper.

passenger side. You can see the bolt we had to work around between the body mount bracket and the shackle bracket. Quick work with the grinder was all it took

Driver side. Same bolt for interference. This would not be an issue with a stock bumper at all

They are much shorter than the stock hooks by a couple of inches at least

Had I not won them in the raffle at Blazer Bash I totally would have bought them. The mounts are thick. Goes on easy and I don’t have two fangs hanging down below the bumper.

Pretty sure Larry’s going to get a pair for his Blazer project.

Love that. Glad to inspire the next generation- my kids are a huge help to my side hustle and I hope it inspires them!

I built my first stainless grille around 2008/2009. Makovai (old member here) and I worked on it together

He only made one that was proper. He got the center point angle off by 4* on the first one. Now he doesn't run the waterjet anymore. :frown1:

They are certainly not easy to build. I was offering a weld together version for a minute - but too many customers had difficulties putting it together- and it got too $$ for me to maintain good customer service replacing parts.
