how many miles on the SBC 400. 2 bolt or 4 bolt main?

No idea on the miles, I believe the casting numbers revealed a 2 bolt main, and now I have a pending sale saturday will tell me if it falls thru.
:D

What shape are the TH400 trannies in I just smoked a fresh rebuild cause I put the wrong torque converter in. I am bolting it to a (1985) NP208. Need an honest quote

I did a compression test on it yesterday with the guy there.
I got very wild numbers so I soaked it for a few minutes with WD40 and spun it really good until I felt the rings have looasened up and the oil got around in the engine, then I tried again, got 175-180 PSI on 7 cylinders.
Cylinder 8 got 150 at best, but still seemed erratic, I tried it a few times and it go anything from 125 to 150.
The guy wants to think about it.
By the way it's the 509 block, the better one and yes it's a 2 bolt main.

Well I wasa trying to ship a BBC 454 to NH with forward air they wanted $500, I found a guy that does CA NH and he hooked me up, $250 for the engine door to door.:D
I am trying to find one to VA, still nothing. :o

If you want go forward air, I probably could work out a deal, I need the money and maybe I can make it $1800 shipped.

divorced 205 from a dodge with cross member, rebuilt, powder coated, slip yoke rear $300

Can you get pics of the case and cross member? What year and model truck did this come out of? What would shipping be to 75707 in Texas?

Thanks,

Eric

I will get some pics tomorrow.
No idea what year, but it's rebuilt real nice.
Shipping I will get a quote but it's not going to be cheap.
Have any forward air hubs close to you?

well if you do eventually decide to separate the 6.2, how much would you take for the turbo setup?:D
